Ford Meet At The Ace Cafe - The Home Of Modifed Car Nuts!
March 17 | 09by:Lee Taylor
This week I thought I'd pop down to the ACE cafe for some inspiration. The ACE is an old motorbike cafe in west London.
The place is world famous and holds many different nights for cars and bikes.
Over the years, people have adopted the ACE Cafe as their meeting point - whatever their passion.
The night I go to is old school Ford night. This is a meet for owners of older Fords such as Mk1 and 2 Escorts, Anglias, Cortinas etc.
Mixed with the odd 80's Ford - hence me chipping down there.
Anyone who regularly attends this meet will tell you how packed it gets: you normally struggle to park outside. But due to the bad weather it was a bad turn-out for the old school cars. A few people braved it, including me: I brought my Cossie out.
There were a few Capris, a couple of Cossies and a few Mk2 Escorts and it's always good watching the rear-wheel drive cars drift the roundabout outside the ACE.
I'd recommend you get up to the ACE's old school Ford night to see some proper classic and modified cars. It's held on the first Tuesday of the month from about 7pm onwards. Hopefully the weather will hold up next time...
