Fear the Aliens!
You may have seen the recent news stating that Professor Stephen Hawking advises we humans avoid any contact with intelligent alien lifeforms, claiming that it could be disastrous for mankind.
In Stephen Hawking's Universe, starting on Discovery Channel on Sunday 9 May at 9pm, Professor Hawking explains why reaching out to extraterrestrial beings is "a little too risky", that the thought of aliens existing is "perfectly rational", and that any aliens who find Earth may plunder our planet for resources before moving on - "much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans".
The show delves into the mind of the world's most famous living scientist and reveals the splendour and majesty of the universe as never seen before. Using a combination of CGI, live action, archive and visual effects, the three-part series brings Hawking's extraordinary vision of
the universe to the screen in stunning high definition.

More than 20 years after writing the groundbreaking A Brief History of Time, Hawking offers a fresh perspective on the mysteries of the universe. Presenting his theories in what is considered to be the "golden age of cosmology", the epic series charts the history of the universe, from the awe-inspiring energy of the big bang to the end of time itself. Accessible and entertaining, the series sees Hawking tackle some of the greatest mysteries of the cosmos. How did the universe begin and when will it end? Could alien life be found on distant planets? Is time travel possible?
Professor Stephen Hawking says, "This ambitious series explores some of the most fascinating aspects of cosmology and I am pleased to bring these theories to a new audience. I'm delighted to be working with Discovery Channel and Darlow Smithson and I hope these visions of the universe will evoke a sense of wonder for everyone, and maybe inspire a new generation of cosmologists."
What are your thoughts on alien life? Is Professor Hawking right to assume it's entirely possible, or are we all alone in the universe? Leave a comment and let us know.

When this interesting show will be broadcast in Romania?
Thanks for an answer.

considering the probability,I'd say aliens do exist. If life did evolve on earth the same should have happened in some other planet maybe in some other galaxy. If it took some other evolutionary pathway there I would not put away the idea that they are fearsome

I have seen one his shows recently aired on discovery channel which was amazing work of graphic and 3D work.
as Mr., Hawking claims and predicts that the earth will die eventually after billions and billions of years when the sun stops and burns all it is fuel, according to hawkings the earth will be one big ball of smooth rock at this time the suns gravity will pull the earth and other solar systems toward its self and eventually the chain reaction starts and all the galaxies will start to collide to each other until the big crunch happens for some of us it is a question what does Big crunch means? It is a process where all the galaxies are collided on to each other and the suns gravity pulls them toward its self and farming a big galaxy this is at the time when there will be no galaxy left in the sky and suddenly a huge explosion accurse and again galaxies are farmed and created in the sky and so on.... this is what Dr.Hawkings thinks it will be something like that but the real question is here.... What makes all these kinds of things happen? Why it will happen? if this is happening in a billion years who is behind all these collisions of the stars. Why it was created at first place if any one has a logical answer to these un logical questions please send you answers to my e mail add khesrow@inbox.com ......... Religious wise I have the answer but I don't think it is enough to satisfy the mind of a human being.

Dr.Hawkin may not believe in god and religion. But most of what he has predicted is in the Upanishads, one of the holy book of Hindus, probably written in 5000 BC. How about making a documentary on this subject?
